Kiss Me

Kiss Me Deadly: The Criterion Collection [Blu-ray]Kiss Me Deadly is, without a doubt, one of the greatest Film Noir ever made; beautiful, violent, and singularly unique.  And that ending! It's just been given the Criterion treatment, with what might be the greatest cover to any movie I've ever seen. The neglected, seriously overlooked Ralph Meeker IS Mike Hammer.  The only portrayal of Hammer that might be better was from Mickey Spillane himself in, The Girl Hunters.  You need this. But don't take my word for it...

L.A. NoireWhile on the subject of Noir, should I...WHEN I win the lottery, one thing I will most definitely do as a man of leisure is spend countless hours rolling around 1940's L.A. solving brutal murders and other nefarious activities via the amazing L.A. Noire video game. This game is incredible! I'm not a massive gamer, I only own a few titles, mostly first person shooters. It takes a certain kind of game to get me interested and keep me interested. This is certainly that. If you have any interest in police procedurals or Film Noir, this game is for you. It comes HIGHLY recommended!
