Seconds

Harlan Ellison has called it one of the greatest science fiction films ever made. I agree. Seconds is a dark, challenging, beautifully shot film. The premise is a simple one, what if you could have the life you always wanted?
I was lucky enough to see John Frankenheimer present his personal print of this remarkable film in 1999 at the Chicago Film Festival. It was an amazing evening, and the most pristine print I've ever seen. It was crystal clear. Not a blemish. I'm very excited to see Criterion issuing a Blu-Ray of this overlooked masterpiece in August.

Music Box Theatre 70mm Festival
Can't wait for this one! One of the few places to see a film in 70mm, The Music Box Theatre 70mm Festival runs from February 15th to the 28th. Not to be missed! I've got tickets for Vertigo, 2001, and The Master.

Tonight's Film: "Django Unchained"
I'm a big fan of the original Django. Django Unchained might be Quentin Tarantino's second or third best picture. Pulp Fiction being his best.

DIRTY LAUNDRY
I know next to nothing about The Punisher. Today though, I came across this, and I have to say, it is better than just about an feature I've seen in years!
Thank you Thomas Jane!
